Ni hao Gator Train!
The Gator Train campers began their summer camp journey
today. Gator Train's first stop of the summer took them to "China!"
This week we have many exciting activities, crafts, and a trip to the Natural
History Museum planned, all geared to immerse ourselves in the culture of
China. Today, the excited campers arrived to meet their teachers, Mrs. Forquer
and Ms. McCool, as well as their counselors, Jordyn, Claire, and Taylor. After
spending some time playing outside in the sunshine, Mrs. Forquer taught a lesson
in Chinese, which introduced the campers to the Chinese Zodiac. In
Music/Movement in the Multi-Purpose Room, Miss McCool did some silly name games
with the children as well as relay races. At the end of the day, the children
painted paper snakes in honor of the "Year of the Snake" from the
Chinese Zodiac. We're looking forward to a great week!
