Tuesday on the Gator Train was full of magic and wonder! We
finished decorating our Treasure Chests with glitter and jewels and then we
went on a treasure hunt. Each camper was able to find his or her our sea shell
treasure. Once all shells and sea stars were found the campers placed their
treasures in their newly bejeweled chests. We rounded out the morning with a
story by Joan Sweeney, "Me On the Map." The book shows each child
that no matter where you are live you have your very own place on a map! After
lunch and recess the Koalas and Kangaroos learned about Australian
animals and the Outback. We took a trip to the Library and read "G'Day
Australia!" by April Sayre.
