Friday on the Gator Train the campers came prepared for
Water Play! But before we got wet and ran around like crazy we did some
learning. The groups read two more books in David McKee's "Elmer" the
elephant series. We read "Elmer Again" and "Elmer and the Lost
Teddy." To complete the experience the campers decorated their own
"Elmer" with tissue paper and glue. The second craft of the day was
African beaded bracelets made with pipe cleaners. How unique! After lunch and
recess it was finally time for the Sprinkler! Needless to say the campers
thought it was pretty fun. What an excellent way to finish our week in
Africa.
