A Day Together, A Day of Fun!

It was a totally awesome day at the Butler Campus! Magic Tree House Camp and Daring Camp started the day off in a "cool" way by spending time at the pool! Campers splashed around in Ursuline College's beautiful indoor pool. Some campers, with the help of Mr. Allen, even started a "Swim Club" that will meet on Thursday. When we returned to camp, all the campers hiked up to lunch and enjoyed tomato soup and grilled cheese, a camp favorite! Afterwards, the campers participated in a Water Balloon Toss and a "water balloon version" of Hot Potato. In the afternoon, the camps split up to do their own activities.

After the Water Balloon Toss, the Magic Tree House campers made "sailor hats" and painted underwater scenes using watercolor paint and crayons. They visited the Magic Tree House and some campers returned to the creek - this time, prepared with nets to catch crayfish with. They even found some snakes!

Daring Camp spent the afternoon making "moon viewers", to help them determine the phase that the moon is in, and "moon sand". The campers had fun experimenting with the moon sand ingredients to get the recipe just right! They also spend some time on the Project Adventure Course, setting a camp record of balancing the Whale Watch for 120 seconds! Great job Daring Campers!

Tomorrow, both camps head off campus for field trips!
