Gator Train Travels to China: Day 2

Today, the Gator Train campers learned about the Dragon Boat Festival with Mrs. Forquer. (A special rice bowl is enjoyed during the festival, which the children will learn to make on Friday.) They also learned about Chinese calligraphy and how to use the traditional brushes and ink to create the characters. After lunch, the children created Chinese calligraphy and formed the characters for the 12 animals in the Chinese Zodiac. In addition, the campers enjoyed playing parachute games with Ms. McCool. It was a busy and fun-filled day!
