Magic Tree House and Daring campers had quite the eventful day! They started their day by traveling to Ursuline College to splash around in their indoor swimming pool. Daring Camp played a game of "keep away" with Splash-balls and Magic Tree House campers had fun jumping into the pool and playing with their favorite counselors.
When both groups returned to camp, campers hiked to the Butler Center to eat lunch. Afterwards, they played water balloon games on the softball field. They had relay races - campers were split into 2 groups and they had to pass a water balloon to the person behind them using only their elbows or feet, played "Hot Potato" with exploding water balloons, and played Drip, Drip, Splash (our FAVORITE version of Duck, Duck, Goose).
After water play, Daring Camp and Magic Tree House Camp split up to do their own themed activities. Magic Tree House made catapults and shields. Daring Camp made detective notebooks and practiced their decoding and mystery solving skills.
Tomorrow is our Field Trip Day! If your camper has a green Summer at Laurel tshirt, please have them wear it tomorrow!
