Spain Day 2

Hoy Los Churros y Los Toros practiced dancing with their newly crafted castanets. Both groups watched a video about Flamenco dancing and were able to try out their new moves. They also started a craft of decorating fans. We painted with red and black. Both colors are quite popular and the campers can't wait to finish and use the fans once they dry! Our final project of the day was a favorite. Each camper choose a drawing of a Matador or Flamenco dancer and decorated with glue, lace, felt, yarn, and rosettes. They personalized the pictures with imaginative back round sketches. In addition, the campers listened to a books in Spanish and English at story time today. El martes (Tuesday) was a great!
